Sam Altman returns to OpenAI, know who is on the company's new board

OpenAI-ChatGPT: OpenAI said that the sacked Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sam Altman is returning to the company.

San Francisco: ChatGPT's maker Open AI said sacked CEO Sam Altman is returning to the company. The company surprised everyone by announcing their removal last week.

"We have reached an agreement in principle to bring Sam Altman back to OpenAI as CEO through a new preliminary board," the San Francisco-based company said in a statement late Tuesday.

The board of directors will include former Salesforce co-CEO Brett Taylor, former US Secretary of State Larry Summers and Quora CEO Adam D'Angelo. "The board no longer has confidence in Altman's ability to lead Open AI," the company said in a statement on Friday. At that time, Meera Murati, chief technology officer of Open AI, was appointed interim CEO with immediate effect.

Let us tell you that open AI has been going on for a week. As soon as the company removed Sam Altman, all the employees threatened to resign. On the other hand, soon after this, Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella made a big announcement. Just last Monday, he announced that the company was bringing in former OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and co-founder Greg Brockman to advance its advanced AI research.
