Ukraine finally agreed to talks, Belarus border will be discussed after Russia's proposal

Russia Ukraine Talks in Belarus: Amidst the ongoing war, Ukraine has agreed to resolve it through talks. Now delegations of both the countries will hold talks on the Belarus border.

Kiev: Russian troops have reached the Ukrainian capital Kiev. In such a situation, the Ukrainian President's Office has confirmed that a delegation will meet Russian officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's office said on the Telegram app that the two sides would meet at an unspecified location on the Belarusian border. The President's Office did not specify a specific time for the meeting. The response from Ukraine came hours after Russia announced on Sunday that a delegation had left for Belarus for talks.

Ukraine had earlier rejected the offer of talks

Ukrainian officials had previously rejected the proposal, saying the talks should take place elsewhere than in Belarus because Russia has a large number of troops stationed in Belarus. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered Russian nuclear deterrence forces to be on high alert. He has given this order in response to the 'aggressive statements' of the countries involved in NATO.

Putin had placed a strange condition

The Russian President, who was ready for talks with Ukraine, had put a condition on Saturday, which caused a stir in the whole world. Putin had said that if the war is to stop and come to the negotiating table, then the current government of Ukraine should be removed and the army will have to take command in its own hands. Putin said that we are fighting terrorists in Ukraine. He called the Ukrainian government addicted to drugs and pro-Nazi. Appealing to the army, he said that the army should take over the command of the country by removing the current government.

European Union's strictness against Putin

Angered by the Russian attack on Ukraine, the European Union (EU) has prepared to take major action against President Putin. According to the FAP, assets related to Putin in Europe can be frozen. Luxembourg's foreign minister said the 27-member EU was very close to freezing the assets of Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
